2013 - I prefer to hand-code websites, but I also work within Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress and Concrete5. I've also developed the sites for several political campaigns using NetNation, a CMS geared toward this segment. The vanilla NetNation themes contain nice widget options and the back-end campaign tools are unparalleled, but if overriding the theme is required, as with this site, eat your Wheaties because the learning curve is steep and unintuitive.
